UPY 940
Someone told me this loco had a CAT diesel installed at North Little Rock... BUT, before it stopped blowing for the crossing, I noticed that it was one of the QUIETEST engines I've ever heard, and realized I had been grossly misinformed about this SLUG.

Pat Scott General Do we have a new Master of Misinformation? I won't say his name, but it starts with a Z and rhymes with slack. 2/12/2008 10:23:42 PM
Zach Pumphery General Pat: There 13 ex-MP GP50's that have been rebuilt into CAT engined locomotives, and 2 that have been rebuilt into slugs. Out of the 15 total rebuilds, I got one of the two that aren't CATs. I realized this before it stopped blowing for the crossing, and revised my orginal statement from calling it at CAT to a slug. However, my original quote will live in infamy. 2/12/2008 10:34:28 PM
Pat Scott General Yep. It sure will. 2/12/2008 10:40:21 PM
